Introduction
Balkan Marble Industries DOOEL (BMI) is a limited liability company registered in the Republic of Macedonia. BMI is the operating company of the marble quarry near the city of Prilep. It was formed in 2007 and has signed a concession contract with the Macedonian Ministry of Economy for the exploitation of white marble situated in the locality of Veprcani village in the greater area of the city of Prilep. The concession contract is valid until 2026, with the option for extension for an additional period of 20 years.
The area of Prilep is known from the ancient years for its superior crystallizedwhite marble. The total concession area covers 3.56 km2 .
The quarry is located 40km away from the city of Prilep and 200 km away from the port of Thessaloniki, Greece.

The marble deposit in the area of Prilep is widely known to the scientific and business world and is among the largest in the world.
It is estimated that the entire marble reserves that exist in BMI’s concession area exceed 16 million m3 of commercial marble blocks.
BMI - White Marble Blocks are divided into the following categories based on quality, size and coloration:
